Monitoring of IP rights violations

Monitoring violations of the rights of indigenous peoples by third parties, including the state and businesses, is a key project of our Committee. Our members have been involved in such activity for decades and in cooperation with different partners, including the International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs (IWGIA), the Institute for Ecology and Action Anthropology (INFOE), the Society for Threatened Peoples (STP), the Anti-Discrimination Centre Memorial (ADC Memorial), Indigenous Russia Information Center (iRussia), the International Indigenous Fund for development and solidarity «Batani» and others produced a lot of documents on that topic including reports to UN, Council of Europe, media articles, video-interviews and other materials.

During the last year, because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we had to pay focused attention to the influence of this war on indigenous peoples in Russia and their rights. To study this topic, we prepared two thematic reports:
