Our aim is to promote the rights of indigenous peoples of the Russian Arctic, Siberia, and the Far East on their traditional lands, resources, and self-determination on national and global levels. We provide consultations and technical support to indigenous communities and indigenous organizations in Russia and promote raise awareness of indigenous peoples’ rights and violations of these rights by third parties on national and international levels.
We develop and support education and leadership programs for indigenous peoples and assist indigenous peoples of Russia in establishing partnerships with international organizations. We support national and international efforts and activities which enhance the indigenous peoples’ rights in Russia and worldwide. We support partnerships and coalitions of indigenous peoples of Russia with international human rights, environmental and indigenous peoples’ organizations.
We feel obligated to give a voice to indigenous communities of the Russian Arctic, Siberia and the Far East who are excluded from representation on national and international levels because of the repressions from Russian authorities.
