Vladislav Tannagashev is a representative of the Shor people. In the late 80s, he joined the Shor movement and began actively dealing with indigenous issues. Vladislav repeatedly led the Shor movement and was elected to the Council of the Association of the Shor people. As a deputy of the City Deputy Council, he actively defended the rights of the Shor people. Several times he was a delegate to the Congress of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.

2009 he participated in the UN Indigenous Fellowship program in Moscow and Geneva. In 2013, he supported the residents of the burned village of Kazas. In 2014, Vladislav headed the Myski Local Civic Organization “Revival of Kazas and the Shor people”. In 2018, Vladislav and his family were forced to leave Russia due to persecution and threats from the Russian authorities and coal mining companies.

Since 2022 Vladislave became a member of the International Committee of Indigenous Peoples of Russia (ICIPR). Since 2023 – delegate of the proto-parliament of the Congress of Deputies (Poland).
